Beyond #NoDAPL: A Conversation about Renewable Energy with All Four of the Living Standing Rock Sioux Tribe Chairmen of the Last 40 Years.
Help us leave a legacy on our Native land. #SayYesToWind
By supporting SAGE’s new wind farm Anpetu Wi (which means “morning light of the sun” in the Lakota language), you are helping to create an enduring revenue source for the people of Standing Rock. The Nation has a poverty rate of 40% and an unemployment rate of 70%, underscoring the need for the revenue provided by Anpetu Wi. The revenue from the wind farm will support Standing Rock in providing essential needs such as schools, roads, health care, and housing development, as well as future SAGE renewable energy projects.
SAGE represents an innovative and replicable renewable energy model for public power that prioritizes people, land, and nature over profit. Owned and created by the people of Standing Rock, SAGE will be a source for ongoing economic development to transform our community through self -determination and energy independence, while protecting the environment.
#SayYesToWind and you will be helping us, the Lakota & Dakota people of the Standing Rock Sioux, to leave a lasting legacy on our Native land and to ensure a more sustainable future for generations to come.
