SAGE TO APPEAR ON GREENPEACE x JANE FONDA’S FIRE DRILL FRIDAYS!  

We are thrilled to announce that Jane Fonda, host of Fire Drill Fridays!, has invited SAGE General Manager Joseph McNeil, Jr. to participate in an episode of the show on May 21st! 

Joe will be joining Tim Donaghy of Greenpeace and Colette Pichon Battle, founder and Executive Director of the Gulf Coast Center for Law & Policy. 

The conversation will center on fossil fuel racism: a topic that many familiar with Standing Rock and our fight for water rights know all too well. 

Standing Rock’s SAGE Development Authority is, first and foremost, an enlightened response to the fossil fuel racism that the people of Standing Rock are currently fighting. We stand for community-determined development, self-reliance, climate solutions in accordance with Natural Law, and taking climate action into our own hands to secure a better life for Unci Maka (Grandmother Earth) and future generations. We are beginning this new era of progress with the Anpetu Wi wind farm, which we are currently seeking crowdfunded donations to support critical pre-development work. 

The Fire Drill Fridays! Movement was founded by Jane Fonda, who is a lifelong activist in civil rights and climate reform. In partnership with GREENPEACE, she uses her celebrity platform to empower environmental activists, shine a light on their critical work, and lobby for progressive climate change legislation. 

“Help the movement grow by joining the movement. The more people who understand the gravity for the potential climate catastrophe, the more change we have to succeed in avoiding catastrophe,”  says Fonda.
