SAGE’s General Manager Joseph McNeil, Jr. is a guest speaker at the second annual virtual Tribal Energy Roundtable hosted by Navajo Power. The topic of Mr. NcNeil’s session will be Tribal Utilities: Self-determination in Energy.
Mr. McNeil will be joined by Derek Dyson (Counsel to Navajo Tribal Utility Authority) and Brian Lugo (Councilman, Morongo Nation)
“The Tribal Energy Roundtable brings together leaders, experts and representatives of institutions and governments that are eager to collaborate to upgrade energy infrastructure on Tribal lands while also building upon the historic role Indian Country has played in powering the American West,” – Navajo Power.
Panelists will discuss the current progress in clean energy, finance, and capital markets, federal programs and combined partnerships, storage technologies, and the obstacles that one may face along the way. will highlight successful Tribal utility projects in the renewable energy sector with an emphasis on upholding Indigenous principles.
